The first case was resolved by T.R.A.S. in just 40 days

PRESS RELEASE

On March 12, 2024, 40 days after the first case was registered before the Romanian Sports Arbitration Tribunal, the panel of arbitrators consisting of Prof. Dr. Cristian Jura, as president, Prof. Dr. Mihaela Tăbârcă, as arbitrator, and lawyer Ovidiu Miheț, as arbitrator, pronounced the first Arbitral Award in the history of the T.R.A.S.

According to Article 18.6 of the Arbitration Rules, T.R.A.S. arbitral awards are final, enforceable, and binding from the moment they are communicated to the parties.

Thus, the patrimonial dispute between the parties was resolved in just 40 days through a final and enforceable arbitral award, an extremely short period for the Romanian legal system.

T.R.A.S. operates under the motto “Professionalism and Promptness,” and one of T.R.A.S.’s objectives is to pronounce final decisions in the shortest possible time, respecting all guarantees of civil procedural law, considering the dynamic nature of sports law which is currently a necessity.
