Prof. univ. dr. Cristian Jura

Prof. univ. dr. Cristian Jura has over twenty years of experience in sports law, he is an arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland, respectively an arbitrator at the Romanian Anti-Doping Hearing Commission.

Prof. univ. dr. Cristian Jura has been an arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland since 2012, a member of the Ad-hoc Anti-Doping Panel of the International Powerlifting Federation and a member of the Ad-hoc Anti-Doping Panel of the International Triathlon Union. He was part of the Ad-Hoc Division of the Court of Arbitration for Sport for the FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014 and the Ad-Hoc Division of the Court of Arbitration for Sport for UEFA EURO 2016, the Ad-Hoc Division of the Court of Arbitration for Sport for the World Cup Football from Russia 2018.

From 2016 until 2021, Prof. Univ. Dr. Cristian Jura was a member of the Appeals Commission attached to the Romanian National Anti-Doping Agency.

From 2022, he is a member of the Athlete Hearing Commission attached to the Romanian National Anti-Doping Agency.

Prof. univ. dr. Cristian Jura has published articles and volumes in the field of sports law, including:

As an arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne Prof. univ. Dr. Cristian Jura has been involved in over 20 arbitrations, in panels of 3 arbitrators or as sole arbitrator. As a member of the Appeals Commission of the National Anti-Doping Agency, Prof. univ. dr. Cristian Jura sat, as a member or as a case president, in more than 30 cases.
