Prof. univ. dr. av. Dan Oancea is a lawyer with over 41 years of experience, arbitrator at the Romanian Anti-Doping Hearing Commission, director of the Romanian National Institute for the Training of Lawyers and university professor.
Prof. univ. dr. av. Dan Oancea is Director of Romanian National Institute for the Training of Lawyers, since 2019, in his second term, member of the Romanian National Bars Association Permanent Commission (since 2011) and of the Romanian National Bars Association Council (since 2007). Prof. univ. dr. av. Dan Oancea is a member of the Management Board of the National Institute for the Training and Improvement of Lawyers, the Board of Directors of the Romanian Jurist Union and the Board of Directors of the European Institute in Romania. He obtained the qualification of lawyer after graduating from the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest, in 1982; is the owner of the Oancea Dan Individual Law Firm, within the Bucharest Bar Association. Since 1987, he has also been a teaching staff at the faculty he graduated from, currently holding the teaching degree of university professor and the position of director of the Department of Public Law. At the University of Bucharest, he is a member of the Presidium of the Senate and President of the Commission for Regulations, Incompatibilities and the Awarding of Honorary Titles.
Prof. univ. dr. av. Dan Oancea is an arbitrator of the Court of International Commercial Arbitration attached to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, arbitrator and President of the Anti-Doping Hearing Commission, Arbitrator and member of the Management Board of the Bucharest International Court of Arbitration (BIAC) attached to the Chamber of Romanian-American trade.
