Andrea Annamaria Chiș is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, teaching Civil Procedural Law.
She has served as a judge for over 28 years and was elected as a representative of the appellate courts in the Superior Council of Magistracy, representing the Council in the Executive Board of the European Network of Councils for the Judiciary.She has coordinated national and international projects on communication strategies of judicial systems, individual and institutional use of social media in the judiciary.
She has published studies on the role of the judge in civil proceedings, drafting judicial decisions, national court procedures and arbitral proceedings, the future of lawyers, and the exercise of power in the judicial system.
She is the initiator of the Legal Soft Skills project on the juridice.ro platform.
She considers civic engagement important and has participated as a speaker in various public events, including TEDx..
